Parameters and abundances for 1002 stars of spectral types F, G, and K of luminosity class IV and V have been derived. After culling the sample for rotational velocity and effective temperature, 867 stars remain for discussion. Twenty-eight elements are considered in the analysis. The {\alpha}, iron-peak, and Period 5 transition metal abundances for these stars show a modest enhancement over solar averaging about 0.05 dex. The lanthanides are more abundant averaging about +0.2 dex over solar…
High-resolution Spectroscopic Study of Dwarf Stars in the Northern Sky: Lithium, Carbon, and Oxygen Abundances
Abundances of lithium, carbon, and oxygen have been derived using spectral synthesis for a sample of 249 bright F, G, and K Northern Hemisphere dwarf stars from the high-resolution spectra acquired
Spectroscopic Determination of Stellar Parameters and Oxygen Abundances for Hyades/Field G–K Dwarfs
• Physics
• 2020
It has been occasionally suggested that Fe abundances of K dwarfs derived from Fe I and Fe II lines show considerable discrepancies and oxygen abundances determined from high-excitation O I 7771-5
A Catalog of Stellar Unified Properties (CATSUP) for 951 FGK-Stars Within 30 pc
Almost every star in our Galaxy is likely to harbor a terrestrial planet, but accurate measurements of an exoplanet's mass and radius demands accurate knowledge of the properties of its host star.
Abundances of neutron-capture elements in thin- and thick-disc stars in the solar neighbourhood
Aims. The aim of this work is to determine abundances of neutron-capture elements for thin- and thick-disc F, G, and K stars in several selected sky fields near the north ecliptic pole and to compare
Cepheid Abundances: Multiphase Results and Spatial Gradients
Parameters and abundances have been derived for 435 Cepheids based on an analysis of 1127 spectra. Results from five or more phases are available for 52 of the program stars. The latter set of stars
Lyα Observations of High Radial Velocity Low-mass Stars Ross 1044 and Ross 825
• Physics

The discovery of habitable zone (HZ) planets around low-mass stars has highlighted the need for a comprehensive understanding of the radiation environments in which such planets reside. Of particular
Calibrating the metallicity of M dwarfs in wide physical binaries with F-, G-, and K-primaries – I: High-resolution spectroscopy with HERMES: stellar parameters, abundances, and kinematics
• Physics
• 2018
We investigated almost 500 stars distributed among 193 binary or multiple systems made of late-E, G-, or earl y-K-primaries and late-K- or M-dwarf companion candidates, For all of them, we compiled
Identification of additional young nearby runaway stars based on Gaia data release 2 observations and the lithium test
Funding Information NE 515/58-1. MU 2695/27-1. Runaway stars are characterised by their remarkably high space velocities, and the study of their formation mechanisms has attracted considerable
A dusty benchmark brown dwarf near the ice line of HD 72946
Context. HD72946 is a bright and nearby solar-type star hosting a low-mass companion at long period (P~16 yr) detected with the radial velocities (RV) method. The companion has a minimum mass of
Chemical Composition of Bright Stars in the Continuous Viewing Zone of the TESS Space Mission
Accurate atmospheric parameters and chemical composition of stars play a vital role in characterizing physical parameters of exoplanetary systems and understanding of their formation. A full
