AP And is a well-detached F5 eclipsing binary star for which only a very limited amount of information was available before this publication. We have obtained very extensive measurements of the light curve (19,097 differential V magnitude observations) and a radial velocity curve (83 spectroscopic observations) which allow us to fit orbits and determine the absolute properties of the components very accurately: masses of 1.277 ± 0.004 and 1.251 ± 0.004 M☉, radii of 1.233 ± 0.006 and 1.1953 ± 0…

ABSOLUTE PROPERTIES OF THE ECLIPSING BINARY STAR IM PERSEI

IM Per is a detached A7 eccentric eclipsing binary star. We have obtained extensive measurements of the light curve (28,225 differential magnitude observations) and radial velocity curve (81

Absolute Dimensions of the Early F-type Eclipsing Binary V506 Ophiuchi

We report extensive differential V-band photometry and high-resolution spectroscopic observations of the early F-type, 1.06-day detached eclipsing binary V506 Oph. The observations, along with times

ABSOLUTE PROPERTIES OF THE PRE-MAIN-SEQUENCE ECLIPSING BINARY STAR NP PERSEI

NP Per is a well-detached, 2.2 day eclipsing binary whose components are both pre-main-sequence stars that are still contracting toward the main-sequence phase of evolution. We report extensive

The K2 M67 Study: Precise Mass for a Turnoff Star in the Old Open Cluster M67

We present a study of the bright detached eclipsing main-sequence binary WOCS 11028 (Sanders 617) in the open cluster M67. Although the binary has only one eclipse per orbital cycle, we show that the

Eclipsing Binary Stars as Benchmarks for Trigonometric Parallaxes in the Gaia Era

We present fits to the broadband photometric spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of 158 eclipsing binaries (EBs) in the Tycho-2 catalog. These EBs were selected because they have highly precise

Testing Systematics of Gaia DR2 Parallaxes with Empirical Surface Brightness: Color Relations Applied to Eclipsing Binaries

Using a sample of 81 galactic, detached eclipsing binary stars we investigated the global zero-point shift of their parallaxes with the Gaia Data Release 2 (DR2) parallaxes. The stars in the sample

Empirical bolometric correction coefficients for nearby main-sequence stars in the Gaia era

Nearby detached double-lined eclipsing binaries with most accurate data were studied and 290 systems were found with at least one main-sequence component having a metallicity $0.008\leq Z\leq 0.040$.

ABSOLUTE PROPERTIES OF THE MAIN-SEQUENCE ECLIPSING BINARY STAR GX GEMINORUM: CONSTRAINTS ON CONVECTIVE CORE OVERSHOOTING

We present 12,155 new differential photometric observations in the V filter made with the Undergraduate Research Studies in Astronomy and NF\Observatory WebScopes, as well as 33 radial velocities

ABSOLUTE PROPERTIES OF THE ECLIPSING BINARY STAR V335 SERPENTIS

V335 Ser is now known to be an eccentric double-lined A1+A3 binary star with fairly deep (0.5 mag) partial eclipses. Previous studies of the system are improved with 7456 differential photometric

Asiago eclipsing binaries program II. V505 Persei

The orbit and fundamental physical parameters of the double-lined eclipsing binary V505 Per are derived by means of Echelle highresolution and high S /N spectroscopy, and B, V photometry. In

ABSOLUTE PROPERTIES OF THE ECLIPSING BINARY STAR HY VIRGINIS

HY Vir is found to be a double-lined F0m+F5 binary star with relatively shallow (0.3 mag) partial eclipses. Previous studies of the system are improved with 7509 differential photometric observations

Accurate masses and radii of normal stars: modern results and applications

This article presents and discusses a critical compilation of accurate, fundamental determinations of stellar masses and radii. We have identified 95 detached binary systems containing 190 stars (94

Eclipsing binaries in open clusters – I. V615 Per and V618 Per in h Persei

We have derived absolute dimensions for two early-type main sequence detached eclipsing binaries in the young open cluster hPersei (NGC869). V615Persei has a spectral type of B7V and a period of 13.7

A Survey of Proper-Motion Stars. XVI. Orbital Solutions for 171 Single-lined Spectroscopic Binaries

We report 25,563 radial velocity measurements for 1359 single-lined stars in the Carney-Latham sample of 1464 stars selected for high proper motion. For 171 of these, we present spectroscopic orbital
