This paper describes a method for converting text into braille, in the form in which it is stored as in a computer. The system has been designed to be configurable for a wide range of languages and character sets, and uses a predominantly table driven method to achieve this. The algorithm is explained in the context of the conversion of text into Standard English Braille (British), and the tables for this transformation are given. Particular importance has been attached to enabling braille…

A platform-independent Braille translator
This paper describes the production of a computer pr ogram in Java that translates text to and from Braille to support a universal character set, Unicode, and are portable and platform-independen t.
Analysis of Braille translation software
Research publications related to software designed to assist people with visual impairments are reviewed and analyzed, and particular note is given to software that converts plaintext or rich text documents into Braille files that can be used by tactile printers or displays.

This paper is hammered out to concatenate the problem of blind people regarding their reading of e-book and e-text and the paper will be beneficial for the blind person to read the digital book in their English Braille language.
Mobile SMS to Braille transcription: a new era of mobile for the blinds
An application that converts Mobile SMSs into Braille script with special emphasis on special symbols so that visually impaired people will also be able to read mobile messages and increase the availability of information and use of technology for handicapped--visually impaired individuals.
Hardware-based text-to-braille translator
This paper describes the hardware implementation of a text to Braille Translator using Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) based on the translating algorithm, proposed by Paul Blenkhorn.
A System for Fast Text-to-Braille Translation Based on FPGAs
The test results indicate that the hardware-based translator achieves the same results as software-based commercial translators, and moreover, this system achieves superior throughput compared to Blenkhorn's original algorithm.
TAMIL BRAILLE SYSTEM: A Conversion methodology of Tamil into Contracted Braille Script (Grade2)
Different countries of the world have adopted the Braille System to suits their language. The main focus of the paper is the conversion of Tamil to Braille Conversion System. The paper provides a
Automated Conversion of English and Hindi Text to Braille Representation
The possible ways to teach Blind people are discussed and the transliteration of English and Hindi text to Braille, a dotted pattern used by the blind people for reading and writing is discussed.

A system for converting braille into print
A detailed description of a method for converting braille, as it is stored as "characters" in a computer, into print, using a predominantly table driven method.
An evaluation of braille translation programs
A braille translation program is software that takes files created by an application program and translates them into new files of ASCII representative grade 2 braille and formats the text into a new file which is then transmitted to a braille embosser.
Computerized Braille production
The Braille systems should be analyzed a little, but first the authors' national languages should be examined and I think there are some relationships to other national languages.
