A peptide derived from p34cdc2, cdc2(6-20)NH2 with the amino acid sequence of KVEKIGEGTYGVVYK-amide, was found to be a specific and efficient substrate for a pp60c-src-related protein tyrosine kinase from bovine spleen (STK).
