OBJECTIVE To evaluate the role of ACT gene polymorphism in primary spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (PSICH) and ischemic stroke (IS). METHODS 193 PSICH, 272 IS and 188 controls were included from the same geographical area. The demographic and clinical stroke risk factors were noted. PSICH was confirmed by CT and IS by MRI.
