The binding interaction of an antimicrobial protein lysozyme (chicken egg white lysozyme; abbreviated as Lz from now and onwards) with intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) probe N,N-dimethylaminonaphthyl-(acrylo)-nitrile (DMANAN) has been explored using fluorescence spectroscopic techniques.
