The aim of this study was to test the construct validity of the Diabetes Quality of Life for Youth (DQOLY) questionnaire in a large representative sample of young people with type 1 diabetes mellitus. The 52-item DQOLY questionnaire was completed by 2,077 adolescent individuals (aged 10–18 years) with type 1 diabetes.
