Аll known species of Larinioides Caporiacco, 1934 are revised. Seven species are recognised, of which one is transferred from Araneus Clerck, 1757 as a new combination, Larinioides jalimovi (Bakhvalov, 1981) comb. n. The first description of a male of L. jalimovi is given. The following four new synonyms are proposed: Epeira gracilis Menge, 1878 syn. n. and Aranea dumetorum islandicola Strand, 1906 syn. n. = L. patagiatus (Clerck, 1757); Araneus cungei Bakhvalov, 1974, syn. n. = Larinioides…
Remarks on Synonyms of European Larinioides Species (Arachnida: Araneae: Araneidae)
TLDR
This note intends to show that recent name changes of the genus Larinioides are not supported by the available evidence, and that the established names L. sclopetarius and L. suspicax continue to be valid.
New data about orb-weaving spiders (Aranei: Araneidae and Tetragnathidae) from the Russian Far East
Two species described by Bakhvalov from the Russian Far East are synonymized: Gibbaranea abscissa (Karsch, 1879) = Araneus amurius Bakhvalov, 1981, syn.n.; Plebs sachalinensis (S. Saito, 1934) =

Eight species and one genus are syn- onymized: Micryphantes miniatus Grube, 1861, syn.n. = Hypomma bituberculatum (Wider, 1834); Linyphia melanopleuros Grube, 1861, syn.n. = Megalepthy- phantes
A Survey of Spiders (Araneae) Collected on the Arctic Island of Dolgiy (69°12′N), Barents Sea
Summary Fifty-two spider species from six families were found on Dolgiy Island in 2004. The family Linyphiidae clearly dominates (44 species), followed by Lycosidae (4 species). Among arctic islands,

Responses of orb-weaving spider aggregations to spatiotemporal variation in lake-to-land subsidies at Lake Mývatn, Iceland
TLDR
It is found that aggregation size increased with the abundance of aerial prey, with the highest orb-weaver densities occurring at peak midge emergence, and changes in web size did not vary with midge abundance, but rather were determined by physical habitat structure.
