  • Genus Berberis is medicinally, ecologically, commercially and ethnobotanically important yellow woody plants. There are two subspecies of Berberis pseudumbellata Parker found in Gilgit-Baltistan, however, since 1935 more than 33 researchers have reported fourteen (14) Berberis species and subspecies.
