  author={H. M. C. Nijssen and Isa{\"a}c J. H. Isbr{\"u}cker},
A review of 99 species and subspecies of the genus Corydoras is given. The primary type-material is recorded together with additional type-specimens deposited in 22 different museum collections. Two neotypes and 22 lectotypes are designated. The species are arranged in five groups: 31 species in the punctatus-group, 11 in the barbatus-group, 25 in the aeneus-group, 8 in the elegans-group, and 19 in the acutusgroup. Measurements and counts of almost all primary typespecimens are tabulated. Ill…
Review of the genus Corydoras from Peru and ecuador (Pisces, Siluriformes, Callichthyidae)
This paper contains records and descriptions of thirty species of the callichthyid catfish genus Corydoras Lacepede from Peru and Ecuador, and their morphometric and meristic characters are tabulated.
A new Corydoras Lacépède, 1803 (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from the rio Araguaia basin, Brazil, with comments about Corydoras araguaiaensis Sands, 1990
A new species of Corydoras is described from the rio Araguaia basin, Goias, Brazil and it is discussed the possibility that C. aragUAiaensis comprehends a complex of species.
A new long-finned Corydoras Lacépède, 1803 (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from the lower rio Paraná basin, Brazil
A new species of Corydoras is described from the lower rio Parana basin, just downstream from Itaipu Dam, Brazil, close to Paraguay boundary. The new species can be distinguished from most of its
A new species of Corydoras Lacépède, 1803 (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from the río Madre de Dios basin, Peru
A new species of Corydoras is described from the rio Madre de Dios basin, Peru. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by presenting the following features: a longitudinal black
Review of the genus Corydoras from Colombia, with descriptions of two new species (Pisces, Siluriformes, Callichthyidae)
Two new species of the Callichthyid catfish genus Corydoras Lacepede, including two new species, from Colombian rivers, Rio Amazonas excluded, are included in this paper.
Rediscovery of the syntypes of Corydoras meridionalis R. von Ihering, 1911 (Teleostei, Siluriformes, Callichthyidae) and designation of lectotype
Syntypes of Corydoras meridionalis Rodolpho von Ihering, 1911, once regarded as lost, were recently found in the collection of fishes of the Museu de Zoologia da USP and corroborates the proposed synonymy of that species.
Evolution, Ecology and Taxonomy of the Corydoradinae revisited
The advances made in the phylogenetics and ecology of the Corydoradinae are discussed, and the status of the group as a whole is reviewed from a historic perspective.
New Corydoradine Catfish (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from the Upper Paraná and São Francisco: The Sister Group of Brochis and Most of Corydoras Species
The new species has several plesiomorphic character states relative to the assemblage composed of Brochis and most Corydoras species, such as absence of contact between the supraoccipital and nuchal plate, reduction of the ossified portion of hypobranchial 2, and well-developed mesial expansions of the first and second infraorbitals, indicating its basalmost position within the genus.
Redescription of Corydoras guapore Knaack, 1961 (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae), a midwater Corydoradinae species from the rio Guaporé basin
Corydoras guapore can be distinguished from its congeners by the presence of a short mesethmoid, with the anterior tip poorly developed; posterior margin of pectoral spine with conical serrations directed towards the origin of the spine; and by the lateral portion of caudal peduncle almost entirely blackened.
A new species of Corydoras Lacépède (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from the Rio Tapajós basin and its phylogenetic implications
The presence in the new species of an elongated anterior portion of the mesethmoid and a triangular uncinate process of the epibranchial 3 suggests a close relationship with Corydoras metae, a group that includes 36 species with spots on the body.
