A classical question asks whether the Abel-Jacobi map is universal among all regular homomorphisms. In this paper, we prove that we can construct a $4$-fold which gives the negative answer in codimension $3$ if the generalized Bloch conjecture holds for a $3$-fold constructed by Colliot-Th\'el\`ene and Voisin in the context of the study of the defect of the integral Hodge conjecture in degree $4$.

A pencil of Enriques surfaces with non-algebraic integral Hodge classes
• Mathematics
• 2019
We prove that there exists a pencil of Enriques surfaces defined over $${\mathbb {Q}}$$ Q with non-algebraic integral Hodge classes of non-torsion type. This gives the first example of a threefoldExpand
Factorization of the Abel-Jacobi maps.
As an application of the theory of Lawson homology and morphic cohomology, Walker proved that the Abel-Jacobi map factors through another regular homomorphism. In this note, we give a direct proof ofExpand

For a complex projective manifold, Walker has defined a regular homomorphism lifting Griffiths’ Abel–Jacobi map on algebraically trivial cycle classes to a complex abelian variety, which admits aExpand

We give the first examples of $\mathcal{O}$-acyclic smooth projective geometrically connected varieties over the function field of a complex curve, whose index is not equal to one. More precisely, weExpand
On the coniveau of rationally connected threefolds
We prove that the integral cohomology modulo torsion of a rationally connected threefold comes from the integral cohomology of a smooth curve via the cylinder homomorphism associated to a family ofExpand

The Torsion of the Group of 0-Cycles Modulo Rational Equivalence

This map is most familiar in the case k = K. However, it is worth investigating and is sometimes more easily understood when k ⊂ K has positive transcendence degree. This is illustrated by our mainExpand
The morphic Abel–Jacobi map
The morphic Abel-Jacobi map is the analogue of the classical Abel-Jacobi map one obtains by using Lawson and morphic (co)homology in place of the usual singular (co)homology. It thus gives a map fromExpand
