BACKGROUND Non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD) has been attributed to gastritis and Helicobacter infection. The Sydney classification enables dyspepsia symptoms to be assessed quantitatively in relation to Helicobacter infection and topographic pathology in different gastric compartments.
