Leukocyte chemoattractants are involved in the inflammatory response act via G protein-coupled receptors. We report the cloning of a novel human gene encoding the putative orphan receptor, C5L2, belonging to a subfamily of C3a, C5a and formyl Met-Leu-Ph receptors that are related to the chemokine receptor family.
