This paper is devoted to a posteriori error estimates of the Morley element for the fourth order elliptic eigenvalue problem. The reliability and the efficiency of the a posteriori error estimates are proved in the paper. Numerical examples illustrate the advantages of the adaptive Morley element method for the fourth order elliptic eigenvalue problem.
