A palaeolith from Surrey.—The following discovery is communicated by Mr. Wilfrid Hooper, who states that the hand-axe here illustrated was found last summer in Meadow Way on the Davis estate, Woodhatch, Reigate, by a labourer named Abrehart, while trenching for a sewer. Though an attempt was made to get details of the section, the excavation was at once filled in; but careful search failed to reveal any worked flint in the immediate neighbourhood.
