OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical response to antituberculosis chemotherapy rapidly. METHOD Sputum viable counts from a previously published clinical trial comparing a standard regimen and one containing isoniazid, rifampicin and ciprofloxacin were re-evaluated using an exponential decay model.
