GG918, a synthetic inhibitor of P-glycoprotein-mediated mammalian tumour multidrug resistance, was found to be equipotent to reserpine in enhancing the in vitro activity of norfloxacin and ciprofloxacin against strains of Staphylococcus aureus expressing distinct efflux-related multidrug resistance pumps.
