Recent experimental results in B physics from Belle, BaBar and LHCb suggest new physics (NP) in the weak b → c charged-current and the b → s neutral-current processes. Here we focus on the charged-current case and specifically on the decay modes B → D∗+`−ν̄ with ` = e, μ, and τ . The world averages of the ratios RD and R ∗ D currently differ from the Standard Model (SM) by 3.4σ while ∆AFB = AFB(B → D∗μν) − AFB(B → D∗eν) is found to be 4.1σ away from the SM prediction in an analysis of 2019…

Bayesian fit analysis to full distribution data of B̄ → D ( ∗ ) ` ν̄ : | V cb | determination and new physics constraints

We investigate the semi-leptonic decays of B̄ → D(∗)`ν̄ in terms of the HeavyQuark-Effective-Theory (HQET) parameterization for the form factors, which is described with the heavy quark expansion up

Measurement of an excess of B̄→D(*) τ-ν̄τ decays and implications for charged Higgs bosons

Based on the full BABAR data sample, we report improved measurements of the ratios R(D)=B(B→Dτ-ντ)/ B(B→Dl-νl) and R(D*)=B(B→D*τ-ντ)/ B(B→D*l-νl), where l refers to either an electron or muon. These

Constraining New Physics with Possible Dark Matter Signatures from a Global CKM Fit

We constrain the parameters of a representative new physics model with a possible dark matter (DM) signature from a global CKM fit analysis. The model has neutral quark current interactions mediated

Evidence for an excess of B → D(*)τν decays

Improved measurements of the ratios R(D(*))=B(B[over ¯]→D(*)τ(-)ν[ over ¯](τ))/B( B[over¯]→B(*)ℓ(ℑ)(-)ν [over ¯](ℒ)), where ℓ is either e or μ, are reported, which are sensitive to new physics contributions in the form of a charged Higgs boson.

Test of lepton flavor universality by the measurement of the B0 →d∗-τ+ντ branching fraction using three-prong τ decays

The ratio of branching fractions R(D*-)≡B(B0→D*-τ+ντ)/B(B0→D*-μ+νμ) is measured using a data sample of proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8

It is argued that at zero recoil the semileptonic decay rates for B and D and D receive only small second-order corrections, which supports the usefulness of the heavy-quark expansion for a reliable determination of ${V}_{\mathrm{cb}.

Measurement of the CKM matrix element |Vcb| from B0→D*−ℓ+νℓ at Belle

We present a new measurement of the CKM matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ from $B^{0} \to D^{*-} \ell^+ \nu_\ell$ decays, reconstructed with the full Belle data set of $711 \, \rm fb^{-1}$ integrated

Measurement of R(D) and R(D^{*}) with a Semileptonic Tagging Method.

This work constitutes the most precise measurements of R(D) and R (D^{*}) performed to date as well as the first result for R( D) based on a semileptonic tagging method.

D∗τ−ν̄τ Angular Distribution and CP violating Triple Products

We perform a comprehensive study of the impact of new-physics operators with different Lorentz structures on B̄ → Dlν̄l decays, (l = e, μ, τ) involving the b → clνl transition. We present the full
