Abstract A new species Rana dabieshanensis sp. n. is described from the Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province, China, based on morphological character differences and molecular analyses. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of diagnostic characters. The results of phylogenetic analyses (based on 12s rRNA, 16s rRNA, ND2, Cyt b, RAG1, BDNF and Tyr) and genetic distances (based on Cyt b) indicate that the new species belongs to the Rana longicrus group, and is… Expand
A new species of the Rana japonica group (Anura, Ranidae, Rana) from China, with a taxonomic proposal for the R. johnsi group
TLDR
R. zhengi is synonymized with R. sangzhiensis, and a new species group, the Rana johnsi group, is proposed for the R. johnsi and R. japonica group. Expand

TLDR
The study of phylogenetic analysis based on complete mitochondrial genome showed that there was close genetic relationship between R. dabieshanensis and R. omeimontis and it is useful for systematic analyses of genus Rana. Expand
New Taxa and Taxonomic Changes of Chinese Herpetofauna in 2017

Spatial dynamics of Chinese Muntjac related to past and future climate fluctuations
TLDR
The ABC analyses revealed that the modern M. reevesi populations diverged in the Middle Holocene coinciding with the significant contraction of the highly suitable habitat areas, and suggested that the potentially suitable environment distribution for the species will expand under all future climate scenarios.
