A new species of Perenniporia (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) described from southern China based on morphological and molecular characters
@article{Zhao2012ANS, title={A new species of Perenniporia (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) described from southern China based on morphological and molecular characters}, author={Changlin Zhao and Bao-Kai Cui}, journal={Mycological Progress}, year={2012}, volume={11}, pages={555-560} }
A new poroid wood-inhabiting basidiomycete, Perenniporia nanlingensis, collected in Guangdong Province, southern China, is described and illustrated on the basis of three collections. Both the morphology and phylogenetic analysis of rDNA ITS sequences support this new species. Macroscopically, the new species is characterized by an annual growth habit, resupinate basidiocarps with pinkish buff to cinnamon-buff pore surface when dry. Microscopically, it has a trimitic hyphal system, slightly…

An Updated Phylogenetic Assessment and Taxonomic Revision of Perenniporia sensu lato (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
- BiologyJournal of fungi
- 2023
In this study, phylogenetic analyses on a set of Perenniporia species and related genera were carried out using DNA sequences of multiple loci, including the internal transcribed spacer regions, the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nLSU), the small subunit mitochondrial rRNA gene (mtSSU) and the translation elongation factor 1-α gene (TEF1).
