ABSTRACT Kryptosega mweramwera Villemant n. sp. (Insecta, Hymenoptera, Chrysididae, Amiseginae) is the first Chrysididae species recorded from Vanuatu. It was collected with Malaise traps on the Espiritu Santo Island during the SANTO 2006 expedition. The genus Kryptosega Kimsey, 1986 known to date by only two species, is recorded here for the first time outside of Papua New Guinea.

Zoogeography of the Amiseginae and a remarkable new chrysidid wasp from Chile (Hymenoptera
TLDR
Members of the chrysidid subfamily Amiseginae are small, antlike wasps, with slender mandibles and a long needle-like ovipositor, suggesting that all species probably parasitize walking stick eggs. Expand

Ten species in one: DNA barcoding reveals cryptic species in the neotropical skipper butterfly Astraptes fulgerator.
TLDR
The results add to the evidence that cryptic species are prevalent in tropical regions, a critical issue in efforts to document global species richness, and illustrate the value of DNA barcoding, especially when coupled with traditional taxonomic tools, in disclosing hidden diversity. Expand
