Ionic mobilities in insulators have been derived from transit times observed in polarity reversal measurements [1]. In the derivation, the effects of space charge field and diffusion are neglected. However, mobile ions build up space charge fields in the insulators and distort the inner fields. In the strict sense, not only drift of ions, but also diffusion and space charge field should be regarded in order to express behavior of mobile ions.
