Re-evaluation of the synonymy of Latovertex Mahunka, 1987 and Exochocepheus Woolley and Higgins, 1968 (Acari: Oribatida: Scutoverticidae)
TLDR
The present genus Exochocepheus includes overall seven species, whereas six of them live exclusively in arid or frequently dry habitats of the holarctic region, whereas E. contiguus occurs in tropical areas of the Neotropics.
