Several studies have examined the ability of electrocardiography to differentiate between takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) and anterior wall acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (AA-STEMI). In those studies, the magnitude of ST-segment elevation was not measured at the J point.
