A high gain resonant cavity antenna using a new Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) superstrate is presented. In the proposed design, the simple superstrate is composed of two different dielectric slabs with different material proprieties and thicknesses, both are arranged to be highly reflective to achieve gain and directivity enhancement.
