Abstract A new 5(6→7)abeo-sterol, podosterol (1), together with 20 known compounds, were isolated from the leaves of Podocarpus fleuryi. Their structures were elucidated by means of extensive spectroscopic analysis. Podosterol was assessed for its cytotoxicity against five human tumor cell lines (HL-60, SMMC-7721, A-549, MCF-7, and SW-480), and the result showed that it had no activity.

Phytochemical investigation and phytotoxic activity of aerial parts of oilseed radish (Raphanus sativus var. oleifer Stokes)
TLDR
The phytotoxic effects of the crude methanol extract and fractions of oilseed radish were evaluated on germination and initial seedling growth of Euphorbia heterophylla L. Bidens pilosa L. and Ipomoea grandifolia (Dammer) O’ Donell, which are weed species commonly found in Brazilian agriculture. Expand
