Abstract A new 5(6→7)abeo-sterol, podosterol (1), together with 20 known compounds, were isolated from the leaves of Podocarpus fleuryi. Their structures were elucidated by means of extensive spectroscopic analysis. Podosterol was assessed for its cytotoxicity against five human tumor cell lines (HL-60, SMMC-7721, A-549, MCF-7, and SW-480), and the result showed that it had no activity.
