A remotely controlled multi-electrode array, equipped with a combined electrode (CE) and 3 regular tungsten-in-glass electrodes (TEs) is described. The CE enables ejection of different neuroactive substances from 6 barrels and recording of single-unit activity from the etched tungsten rod placed in the central glass capillary.
