A monoclonal antibody capture enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (mAb-ELISA) for antibodies to infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) in chicken sera was developed and compared with conventional ELISA. When sera from farm chickens were tested by the two ELISAs and serum neutralization (SN), the correlation rate between SN and mAb-ELISA was 100% (49/49), and that between SN and conventional ELISA was 81.6% (40/49).
