We present a modified version of the Koide formula from a scalar potential model or from a Yukawaon model, based on scalar fields set up in a nonet representation of the SU(3) flavor symmetry in the Standard Model. The Koide’s character, which involves the Standard Model fermion mass ratios, is derived from the vacuum expectation value of the nonet field in either model. The scalar potential in the scalar potential model or the superpotential in the Yukawaon model is constructed with all terms…

U(3)-family nonet Higgs boson and its phenomenology
In a model where quark and lepton masses and family-mixings are caused not by a variety of Yukawa couplingsyij(i,j=1, 2, 3: family indices) with one vacuum expectation value (VEV)ν=〈φL0〉0, but by a
Family gauge symmetry as an origin of Koide's mass formula and charged lepton spectrum
Koide's mass formula is an empirical relation among the charged lepton masses which holds with a striking precision. We present a model of charged lepton sector within an effective field theory with
Unified description of quark and lepton mixing matrices based on a yukawaon model
Based on a supersymmetric Yukawaon model with O(3) family symmetry, possible forms of quark and lepton mixing matrices are systematically investigated under a condition that the up-quark mass matrix
Family Gauge Bosons with an Inverted Mass Hierarchy
Abstract A model that gives family gauge bosons with an inverted mass hierarchy is proposed, stimulated by Suminoʼs cancellation mechanism for the QED radiative correction to the charged lepton
Charged Lepton Mass Spectrum and a Scalar Potential Model
Stimulated by a recent work by Sumino, on the basis of a model in which effective Yukawa coupling constants are described by vacuum expectation values of a scalar Φ with 3 × 3 components, a possible
13 and Unified Description of Quark and Lepton Mixing Matrices
We present a revised version of the so-called “yukawaon model”, which was proposed for the purpose of a unified description of the lepton mixing matrix UPMNS and the quark mixing matrix VCKM. It is
U(3)-flavor nonet scalar as an origin of the flavor mass spectra
Abstract According to an idea that the quark and lepton mass spectra originate in a VEV structure of a U(3)-flavor nonet scalar Φ, the mass spectra of the down-quarks and charged leptons are
F-term induced flavor mass spectrum
New mechanism of generating flavor mass spectrum is proposed by using an O'Raifeartaigh-type supersymmetry breaking model. A desired bilinear form of fermion mass spectrum is naturally realized
SU(5)-Compatible Yukawaon Model
It is investigated what constraints are imposed on the so-called yukawaon model when we regard quarks and leptons as of SU(5) (i = 1, 2, 3: index of U(3) family symmetry). In past yukawaon models,
Quark and lepton mass matrices described by charged lepton masses
Recently, we proposed a unified mass matrix model for quarks and leptons, in which, mass ratios and mixings of the quarks and neutrinos are described by using only the observed charged lepton mass
