This report describes a modified version of the IEEE 3-area RTS '96 Test Case for time series analysis. This test case was originally developed to investigate the impact of the introduction of losses in the market clearing, thus the main application of this system is DC Optimal Power Flow (OPF) studies. A fourth area is included in the system. In each snapshot, wind power production and load consumption are modified. This allows for different import-export situations among zones, varying the…
Market Integration of HVDC Lines: Internalizing HVDC Losses in Market Clearing
TLDR
A framework for including both AC and HVDC losses in a zonal or nodal pricing environment is introduced and it is shown both theoretically and through simulations that such a framework is guaranteed to increase social welfare.

A Bienstock–Zuckerberg-Based Algorithm for Solving a Network-Flow Formulation of the Convex Hull Pricing Problem
TLDR
Results suggest that the proposed formulation obtains the minimum uplift payments even when time-dependent start-up costs are included, making the approach more robust than the best documented compact formulation.
Loss Allocation in Joint Transmission and Distribution Peer-to-Peer Markets
Large deployment of distribute energy resources and the increasing awareness of end-users towards their energy procurement are challenging current practices of electricity markets. A change of
