A method for reconstruction of the central slip of the extensor tendon of a finger.

Abstract

Congenital absence of the proximal interphalangeal joint extensor mechanism was corrected by using the lateral band and attached intrinsics of an adjacent finger. This technique has worked well in 3 cases.
