Background: Transesophageal contrast echocardiography(cTEE) is considered to be the method of choice for diagnosing patent foramen ovale(PFO), but its diagnostic accuracy compared with color Doppler guided TEE in the presence of an Eustachian valve(EV) has not been evaluated.
