A human serum mannose-binding protein inhibits in vitro infection by the human immunodeficiency virus

In vitro infection by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) of CD4+ H9 lymphoblasts is inhibited by a mannose-binding protein (MBP) purified from human serum.
