AbstractFifty-five vinyl records were identified among a collection of artifacts found in the fire debris of a Sixties-era commune at Olompali, just north of San Francisco. The Chosen Family, an intentional community loosely associated with the Grateful Dead, lived at Olompali from 1967 to 1969. The structure in which they lived burned to the ground in 1969, thus creating an unintentional time capsule reflective of the contemporary past.
