BACKGROUND This study compared the efficacy of 3 hemostatic dressings in a severe groin injury model in swine. METHODS Twenty-three swine received TraumaStat (OreMedix, Lebanon, OR), Chitoflex (HemCon, Inc., Portland, OR), or standard gauze for hemostasis.
