A high linearity active-RC BPF with 70MHz center frequency and 22MHz bandwidth in 65nm CMOS

Abstract

A 5th-order Butterworth active-RC band-pass filter (BPF) in 65nm CMOS is presented. By utilizing the integrator frequency compensation technique (IFC), the power consumption can be significantly saved. The embedded operational amplifier (op-amp) achieves high Gain-bandwidth product (GBW) by using the Feed-forward compensation (FFC) and anti-pole-splitting techniques. The simulations show that the presented filter could support 22MHz bandwidth, with a center frequency of 70MHz. It achieves a maximum in-band IIP3 of +32dBm over various process corners, with a power consumption of 48.4 mW.
