The effect of the polymorphism of the DNA repair gene ERCC2/XPD Asp312Asn on the risk of lung cancer was investigated in a northeastern Chinese population. A hospital-based case-control study consisted of 201 lung cancer cases and 171 cancer-free controls matched to age, sex, and ethnicity. A polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method was used for genotyping.
