We perform a statistical weak lensing analysis of dark matter profiles around tracers of halo mass from galaxy-size to cluster-size halos. In this analysis we use 170 640 isolated ∼L∗ galaxies split into ellipticals and spirals, 38 236 groups traced via isolated spectroscopic luminous red galaxies and 13 823 maxBCG clusters from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey covering a wide range of richness. Together these three samples allow a determination of the density profiles of dark matter halos over… Expand

Dark matter halo properties of GAMA galaxy groups from 100 square degrees of KiDS weak lensing data
The Kilo-Degree Survey is an optical wide-field survey designed to map the matter distribution in the Universe using weak gravitational lensing. In this paper, we use these data to measure theExpand
Gravitational lensing detection of an extremely dense environment around a galaxy cluster
Galaxy clusters form at the highest-density nodes of the cosmic web1,2. The clustering of dark matter halos hosting these galaxy clusters is enhanced relative to the general mass distribution, withExpand
Probing the dark-matter halos of cluster galaxies with weak lensing
Context. Understanding the evolution of the dark matter halos of galaxies after they become part of a cluster is essential for understanding the evolution of these satellite galaxies. Aims. WeExpand

We explore the cosmological halo-to-halo scatter of the distribution of mass within dark matter haloes utilizing a well-resolved statistical sample of clusters from the cosmological MillenniumExpand
Improved optical mass tracer for galaxy clusters calibrated using weak lensing measurements
We develop an improved mass tracer for clusters of galaxies from optically observed parameters, and calibrate the mass relation using weak gravitational lensing measurements. We employ a sample ofExpand
Measuring the Environmental Dependence of Galaxy Haloes with Weak Lensing
We investigate the uses of gravitational lensing for analysing the dark matter haloes around galaxies, comparing galaxies within groups and clusters to those in the field. We consider two cases: whenExpand
Constraining dark matter halo properties using lensed Supernova Legacy Survey supernovae
This paper exploits the gravitational magnification of SNe Ia to measure properties of dark matter haloes. The magnification of individual SNe Ia can be computed using observed properties ofExpand
Cluster Lensing Profiles Derived from a Redshift Enhancement of Magnified BOSS-survey Galaxies
We report the first detection of a redshift-depth enhancement of background galaxies magnified by foreground clusters. Using 300000 BOSS-Survey galaxies with accurate spectroscopic redshifts, weExpand
New constraints on σ8 from a joint analysis of stacked gravitational lensing and clustering of galaxy clusters
The joint analysis of clustering and stacked gravitational lensing of galaxy clusters in large surveys can constrain the formation and evolution of structures and the cosmological parameters. OnExpand
Physical properties underlying observed kinematics of satellite galaxies
We study the kinematics of satellites around isolated galaxies selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) spectroscopic catalog. Using a model of the phase-space density previously measuredExpand

Galaxy-galaxy lensing : dissipationless simulations versus the halo model
Galaxy-galaxy (g-g) lensing is a powerful probe of the relation between galaxies and dark matter (DM) haloes, but its theoretical interpretation requires a careful modelling of various contributions,Expand
The Structure of cold dark matter halos
High resolution N-body simulations show that the density profiles of dark matter halos formed in the standard CDM cosmogony can be fit accurately by scaling a simple “universal” profile. RegardlessExpand
Density profiles of galaxy groups and clusters from SDSS galaxy–galaxy weak lensing
We present results of a measurement of the shape of the density profile of galaxy groups and clusters traced by 43 335 Luminous Red Galaxies (LRGs) with spectroscopic redshifts from the Sloan DigitalExpand
How Many Galaxies Fit in a Halo? Constraints on Galaxy Formation Efficiency from Spatial Clustering
