A bstractWe formulate the full bosonic SL(5) exceptional field theory in a coordinateinvariant manner. Thereby we interpret the 10-dimensional extended space as a manifold with SL(5) × ℝ+-structure. We show that the algebra of generalised diffeomorphisms closes subject to a set of closure constraints which are reminiscent of the quadratic and linear constraints of maximal seven-dimensional gauged supergravities, as well as the section condition. We construct an action for the full bosonic SL(5…

Fluxes in exceptional field theory and threebrane sigma-models
A bstractStarting from a higher Courant bracket associated to exceptional generalized geometry, we provide a systematic derivation of all types of fluxes and their Bianchi identities for
Generalized parallelizable spaces from exceptional field theory
A bstractGeneralized parallelizable spaces allow a unified treatment of consistent maximally supersymmetric truncations of ten- and eleven-dimensional supergravity in generalized geometry. Known
From exceptional field theory to heterotic double field theory via K3
A bstractIn this paper we show how to obtain heterotic double field theory from exceptional field theory by breaking half of the supersymmetry. We focus on the SL(5) exceptional field theory and show
Locally non-geometric fluxes and missing momenta in M-theory
A bstractWe use exceptional field theory to describe locally non-geometric spaces of M-theory of more than three dimensions. For these spaces, we find a new set of locally non-geometric fluxes which
Advancements in double & exceptional field theory on group manifolds
This thesis deals with new backgrounds and concepts in Double Field Theory (DFT), a T-Duality invariant reformulation of supergravity (SUGRA). It is an effective theory capturing the dynamics of a
Double Field Theory on Group Manifolds in a Nutshell
We give a brief overview of the current status of Double Field Theory on Group Manifolds (DFTWZW). Therefore, we start by reviewing some basic notions known from Double Field Theory (DFT) and show
Gauged Supergravities.
Half‐Maximal Supersymmetry from Exceptional Field Theory
We study D≥4 ‐dimensional half‐maximal flux backgrounds using exceptional field theory. We define the relevant generalised structures and also find the integrability conditions which give warped
Homogeneous Yang-Baxter deformations as generalized diffeomorphisms
Yang-Baxter (YB) deformations of string sigma model provide deformed target spaces. We propose that homogeneous YB deformations always lead to a certain class of $\beta$-twisted backgrounds and
Ju n 20 17 LMU-ASC 61 / 16 7-dimensional N = 2 Consistent Truncations using SL ( 5 ) Exceptional Field Theory
We show how to construct seven-dimensional half-maximally supersymmetric consistent truncations of 11-/10-dimensional SUGRA using SL(5) exceptional field theory. Such truncations are defined on

Exceptional field theory: SL(5)
A bstractIn this work the exceptional field theory formulation of supergravity with SL (5) gauge group is considered. This group appears as a U-duality group of D = 7 maximal supergravity. In the
Supersymmetric E7(7) exceptional field theory
A bstractWe give the supersymmetric extension of exceptional field theory for E7(7), which is based on a (4 + 56)-dimensional generalized spacetime subject to a covariant constraint. The fermions are
Fermions and supersymmetry in E6(6) exceptional field theory
A bstractWe construct the supersymmetric completion of E6(6)-covariant exceptional field theory. The theory is based on a (5 + 27)-dimensional generalized space-time subject to a covariant section
Geometry and fluxes of SL(5) exceptional field theory
A bstractWe use a geometric approach to construct a flux formulation for the SL(5) U-duality manifest exceptional field theory. The resulting formalism is well-suited for studying gauged
Generalized geometry and M theory
We reformulate the Hamiltonian form of bosonic eleven dimensional supergravity in terms of an object that unifies the three-form and the metric. For the case of four spatial dimensions, the duality
Exploring double field theory
A bstractWe consider a flux formulation of Double Field Theory in which fluxes are dynamical and field-dependent. Gauge consistency imposes a set of quadratic constraints on the dynamical fluxes,
Comments on double field theory and diffeomorphisms
A bstractAs the theory is subject to a section condition, coordinates in double field theory do not represent physical points in an injective manner. We argue that a physical point should be rather
Tensor hierarchy and generalized Cartan calculus in SL(3) × SL(2) exceptional field theory
A bstractWe construct exceptional field theory for the duality group SL(3) × SL(2). The theory is defined on a space with 8 ‘external’ coordinates and 6 ‘internal’ coordinates in the (3, 2)
Double field theory on group manifolds
A bstractA new version of double field theory (DFT) is derived for the exactly solvable background of an in general left-right asymmetric WZW model in the large level limit. This generalizes the
