A generic formal framework for protocol interoperability test is proposed, which consider the common situation of protocol interoperability test by introducing the multi-stimuli principle in the multi-port FSM. A novel interoperability test sequences minimization scheme based on genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed to avoid the state space explosion problem, which easily occur in multi-stimuli systems during the interoperability test. Interoperability test sequences always contain two parts… Expand
Nationwide PKI Testing - Ensuring Interoperability of OCSP Server and Client Implementations Early during Component Tests
This paper provides a component based testing method for clients and servers using OCSP exemplified by testing PKI components of a nationwide IT infrastructure that ensures high interoperability requirements of large-scale infrastructures during component tests and reduces efforts for test execution. Protocol Interoperability Test Generation Based on Communicating Multi-Port FSMs
The experimental results show that comparing with existing methods, the method in this paper can improve the fault coverage of the resulting test suite and is feasible and effective. Expand
Fully automated interoperability test suite derivation for communication protocols
An automatic test derivation method for testing interoperability of communication protocols that surpasses the conventional methods in terms of both test size and coverage. Expand
Interoperability test suite derivation for communication protocols
A coherent framework of interoperable testing is developed in which the notions of interoperability, interoperability testing, interoperable test case and interoperabilityTest architecture are interrelated and a systematic interoperability test suite derivation method based on the framework is developed. Towards interoperability test generation of time dependent protocols: a case study
This paper uses the formal model, communicating TIOAs (timed input automata) (CTIOAs), to specify the system under test, in which time constraints are specified by linear expressions involving local clock values. Expand
Protocol Interoperability Test Generation Based on MSC Test Purposes
Applications in mobile IPv6 protocol systems verifies the feasibility of this method, which alleviates state explosion problems to some extent for traversing only a part of global state space. Expand
Interoperability test generation and minimization for communication protocols based on the multiple stimuli principle
This paper presents an automatic test generation and minimization method for testing interoperability of communication protocols such as the asynchronous transfer mode/broadband integrated servicesExpand
Integrated system interoperability testing with applications to VoIP
A general method for automatic generation of test cases, which cover all the required system interoperations and contain a minimal number of tests, is presented. Expand
An optimization technique for protocol conformance test generation based on UIO sequences and rural Chinese postman tours
It is shown that, when the unique input/output sequence (UIO) is used in place of the more cumbersome distinguishing sequence, both the controllability and observability problems of the protocol testing problem are addressed, providing an efficient method for computing a test sequence for protocol conformance testing.
