L'A. retrace la carriere de Time Tammes qui fut la seconde femme professeur aux Pays-bas au XX e siecle. En 1911, elle publia un article qui montre la contribution qu'elle a apportee aux travaux de Mendel en genetique, et demontre que l'heredite des caracteres continus peut etre expliquee par Mendel avec l'aide de son hypothese multifactorielle
