This paper discussed the basic conception of dynamic slicing. It put forward a dynamic slice algorithm based on program dependence diagram, and discussed the application of dynamic slice to program debugging and software testing. The result indicated that the algorithm reduced the range of program analysis and boosted the test accuracy.
