A distributed linear bi-objective optimization algorithm for management of energy flow in a microgrid with individual agents is introduced. In contrast to widely used centralized approaches for energy management a distributed multi-agent scheme for optimization of energy flow within a microgrid consisting of local energy resources and storage capacities is presented which is based on the auction algorithm for assignment problems originally introduced by Bertsekas in 1979 [1]. It is shown that…

Magnus Wind Turbine: Finite Element Analysis and Control System
A two blades Magnus wind turbine whose cylinders rotate by means of embedded motors is described, to avoid a von Karman vortex street effect that occur when the cylinders rotate in the air flow, as well as to ensure maximum power.

A Microgrid Energy Management System Based on the Rolling Horizon Strategy
The proposed EMS is implemented for a microgrid composed of photovoltaic panels, two wind turbines, a diesel generator and an energy storage system and the results show the economic sense of the proposal.
The auction algorithm for the transportation problem
The auction algorithm is a parallel relaxation method for solving the classical assignment problem. It resembles a competitive bidding process whereby unassigned persons bid simultaneously for
