PURPOSE To differentiate between the survival and success definitions of functional hydroxyapatite (HA)-coated implant prosthesis. METHODS A total of 248 implants (62 patients), 5-10 years in function, were evaluated. The implant distribution length was 8 mm (6.5%), 10 mm (29.4%), 13 mm (30.2%) and 15 mm (33.9%).
