Dear Sir, With great interest we read the recently published article by Heusner et al. [1] ”Diagnostic value of full-dose FDG PET/ CT for axillary lymph node staging in breast cancer patients”. The authors conclude that FDG PET/CT cannot replace invasive approaches for axillary staging, but may extend the indication for sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB).
