The generalized Fourier Transform on a given group is applied to invariant feature extraction in the case of a gray-level image . Thus, anew complete and convergent set of invariant features under planar similarities is proposed using the Analytical FourierMellin Transform (AFMT) . So, this set gives a distance between the shapes which is invariant under similarities.
