OBJECTIVE To evaluate the intraocular pressure (IOP)-reducing effect and the side effects of latanoprost (PhXA41), a new phenyl-substituted prostaglandin F2 alpha-isopropyl ester analogue, in patients with elevated IOP, using timolol maleate as the reference drug.
