A clinical and statistical analysis on 180 patients with 58 maxillary and 147 malar fractures, treated at the hospital of the Nippon Dental University, School of Dentistry at Niigata, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery II from July 1974 to December 1992, was retrospectively perfomed.
