A case of idiopathic nodular glomerulosclerosis mimicking diabetic Kimmelstiel-Wilson glomerulopathy is reported. The patient was a 45-year-old man suffering from nephrotic syndrome. Light and electron microscopy revealed diffuse and nodular glomerulosclerosis indistinguishable from diabetic nodular glomerulosclerosis.
