Cholesterol granuloma is a histopathological term that describes a fi brous granulation tissue consisting of cholesterol clefts, foreign body giant cells, foam cells, and macrophages fi lled with hemosiderin pigments. It is a rare entity and most commonly occurs in the middle ear cavity and mastoid air cell complex. Less frequent locations include the frontal bone, zygoma, and paranasal sinuses.
